What you get

The UGC editing toolkit.

01

Hook-first cuts

The first seconds decide whether the ad gets watched. We lead with the strongest line, reaction or product moment — not the intro.

02

Hook variations

Several openings cut onto the same body, so you can test angles without booking another shoot.

03

Burned-in captions

Readable on-screen captions that carry the message with sound off, styled to your brand.

04

Safe-zone layout

Captions, product shots and CTAs placed clear of the TikTok and Reels interface, so nothing important gets covered.

05

Audio cleanup & music

Clear voice, consistent levels, room noise reduced and music that sits under the talking.

06

Cutdowns & formats

9:16 vertical masters for TikTok, Reels and Shorts, plus shorter cutdowns or other formats when your placements need them.

What is UGC video editing?

UGC (user-generated content) video editing is the work that turns raw, creator-style footage into a finished ad or organic post. The footage looks native — a real person, a phone camera, a real product — and the edit is what makes it perform: the strongest hook first, a tight story, captions for sound-off viewers and an export that fits each platform.

It is not the same as filming. YASH EDITS does not shoot or cast creators; you or your creators send the raw takes and we deliver the finished edits.

What a high-performing UGC edit looks like

Most UGC ads that work follow the same shape. TikTok’s own creative best practices advise introducing your proposition in the first 3 seconds and prioritising the hook in the first 6 seconds, filming vertically at 9:16 and in at least 720p.

PartRoughly whenWhat the edit does
Hook0–3 sOpens on the boldest line, result or reaction. No logo intro, no slow walk-in.
Problem3–8 sNames the pain in the buyer’s words, with a caption that reads at a glance.

Test more angles from one shoot

The cheapest way to find a winning ad is to test several hooks on the same body. TikTok recommends running 3–5 different creatives per ad group. Ask your creator to record 3–5 different opening lines, and the edit turns one shoot into several testable versions.

What to send for the best UGC edits

  1. Every raw take, including mistakes and alternative lines — the best hook is often an outtake.
  2. Product b-roll: close-ups, unboxing, the product in use, screen recordings for apps.
  3. Your offer and CTA exactly as it should appear on screen.
  4. Brand kit: logo, fonts, colours and any words or claims to avoid.
  5. Placements: TikTok, Reels, Facebook feed, Shorts — and whether it is organic or paid.
  6. References: two or three ads you like, so the style is right from the first edit.

FAQ

Before we start.

What is UGC video editing?

UGC video editing turns creator-shot, usually phone-filmed footage into finished vertical videos for organic posts and paid ads. The editor picks the strongest hook, cuts the story down to problem, proof and offer, adds captions and clean audio, and exports platform-ready versions for TikTok, Instagram Reels, Facebook and YouTube Shorts.

Do you film UGC or find creators?

No. YASH EDITS is an editing studio. You, your team or your creators shoot the footage, and we turn it into finished edits. If you already work with UGC creators, send their raw takes and we handle everything after the shoot.

Can you edit footage shot on a phone?

Yes. Most UGC is filmed on a phone, and that is part of why it feels native. Send the original files rather than screen recordings or compressed WhatsApp copies, so the export stays sharp.

Can you make several hook versions from one shoot?

Yes. Ask creators to record several different opening lines, and we cut separate versions with different hooks on the same body. TikTok recommends testing 3–5 different creatives per ad group, so planning variations into the edit is usually the best use of one shoot.

How are UGC edits counted in a monthly plan?

Each finished video you receive counts as one edit, so variations of the same ad are planned into your monthly volume. Tell us how many ads and versions you need and we will suggest the right plan.

Do you work white-label for agencies?

Yes. Agencies can send client UGC footage and receive finished edits under their own brand, with no YASH EDITS branding on the files. See white-label video editing for agencies.

How do revisions work?

You review each edit and leave notes directly with your project lead — no ticket queues. Revisions are unlimited on every plan, and each reel is delivered within 24 hours.

I’m outside India — is that a problem?

No. The whole workflow is remote: shared folders, written briefs, async review notes and WhatsApp or email for quick questions. Pricing is in USD.
